SUMMARY:Elias Tillandz Prize 2023 Awarded to Scientific Publications in Can
 cer Research and Archaeology
DESCRIPTION:\n\nThis year\, the Elias Tillandz Prize was awarded to two out
standing research articles\, which involved a mechanism related to the mig
ration of cancer cells and a new analysis of a grave dating back to the ea
rly Middle Ages. The Prize was awarded to the researchers at the BioCity s
 ymposium on Thursday\, 24 August 2023.\n\nJohanna Ivaska's research group
was awarded for their study of the mechanisms of cell migration and the im
pact of tissue stiffness on cell location and movement. The research sheds
light on how cancer cells spread in tissue and opens possibilities on pre
venting or directing the migration of cancer cells. &gt\;&gt\;Read the ful
