DESCRIPTION:MIST Guest Seminar\n\nMarch 31st\, 2025\, at 15.00-16.00\n\nSä
 ätiö sali\, Medisiina D\, 1. floor\n\nMaheswara Reddy Emani\, Ph.D. Prin
 cipal Scientist / Group Leader\, Genentech\, California\,USA: iPSC-derived
Complex models for Drug Discovery\n\nHost: Riitta Lahesmaa ( rilahes@utu.
fi )\n\nOrganizers: MIST Research Program\, Turku Bioscience Centre\n\n***
\n\nMaheswara Reddy Emani is principal scientist and group leader at Genen
tech (a member of Roche) since 2020. He did his  PhD in biotechnology at
the National Center for Cell Sciences (NCCS) at the University of Pune\, I
ndia and in 2010\, he joined Professor Riitta Lehesmaa’s laboratory at T
urku Biosciences in Turku\, Finland\, as a postdoctoral fellow.\n\nAt Gene
ntech Mahesh leads his team on use of iPSC derived target cells and organo
ids for in vitro pharmacology. These tools have proved invaluable for iden
tifying promising lead molecules and conducting mechanistic and toxicologi
cal studies. He is thrilled to be part of an environment committed to cond
ucting science at the highest level and transforming these scientific disc
overies into therapeutic solutions that can significantly benefit patients
 .\n\nSelected publications:\n\n Subramanian\, A*.\, Sidhom\, E*.\, Mahesw
