DESCRIPTION:In this seminar\, Alexandru Mahmoud will present the open-sourc
 e project Bioconductor. The talk will present the structure of the Biocond
 uctor community and core team.\n\nAlso\, it will introduce several ways th
 rough which community members can get involved\, from becoming a package d
 eveloper or maintainer\, participating in working groups\, or by contribut
 ing workshops to the Bioconductor workshop platform.\n\nIn addition\, the 
 session will feature a hands-on component demonstrating how workshop autho
 rs can contribute material\, along with an overview of the automated pipel
 ine that streamlines their propagation to the platform.\n\nAbout the speak
 er\n\nResearch Software Engineer Alexandru Mahmoud is an active member of 
 the Bioconductor Core team. Graduated from Vassar College\, USA\, with a d
 ouble major in computer science and psychological science\, Alexandru has 
 experience in computational linguistics. During their time in Johns Hopkin
 s University and Harvard Medical School\, Alexandru worked in several othe
 r software projects in addition to Bioconductor\, including Galaxy toolset
 \, Bioc2u for Ubuntu\, and enabling GPU computing for AnVIL cloud containe
