Background
I trained as a Chemical Engineer and received a master's degree in Process Systems Engineering from Imperial College London, UK. I first came across the word 'apoptosis' while working on my masters thesis. Thereafter, because the word stuck with me, I decided to get a more in-depth knowledge about the pathways that drive apoptosis. In 2012, I enrolled as a PhD student at the Eriksson Lab to work on the regulation of death receptor-mediated apoptosis. My interest has since evolved to include cell cycle regulation.
