Background
I am a microscopist with a background in electronics engineering and biomedical imaging. During my master’s study in biomedical imaging in University of Turku, I enjoyed microscopy and image analysis-related topics the most. Therefore, I decided to pursue a PhD degree jointly in Biophysics and Cell Biology laboratories. Currently I develop methods to enable studying resorbing osteoclasts using high and super resolution fluorescence imaging techniques, and focus on image analysis workflows to analyze big datasets I generate.
I also work as a teacher in the master’s program of biomedical Sciences, Biomedical Imaging track and teach fluorescence techniques, bioimage informatics and hands -on microscopy courses.
