Turku Metabolomics Core Enhances MALDI Imaging with New Sprayer
The Turku Metabolomics Core, part of the Turku Bioscience Centre, has acquired a SunCollect MALDI Sprayer (Sunchrom) with support from the Research Council of Finland, the Sigrid Jusélius Foundation, and the European Innovation Council (EIC).
The new instrument ensures precise and reproducible matrix, enzyme and standard application for MALDI imaging and quantitative mass spectrometry, enabling the detection of a wider range of molecules with improved sensitivity and reproducibility. This upgrade strengthens the core’s ability to support diverse applications, ranging from basic science, and biomarker discovery to drug distribution studies.
The sprayer will benefit users of both the Metabolomics Core and the Proteomics Core, further advancing cutting-edge life science research at Turku Bioscience Centre.
