2. Access
Cell Imaging Core Facility instruments are reserved via Open IRIS. Group admins and users must have Open IRIS accounts.
Users must be members of a group in Open IRIS. If the group does not exist, go to Services and click Submit request under Add group request. In group, choose N/A, fill in the required fields, and submit the request.
No individual users are granted access. Access is project-based.
The group admin must go to Services and submit a “CIC project request for group leader” for microscopy services. Invoicing information must be properly completed.
Cell Imaging Core Facility staff will process the request and grant access to the project.
3. Training
Training is mandatory before accessing the instruments. Protocols and user guides will be provided prior to training.
Once your project request is accepted:
- If you are unsure which imaging instrument to use, the staff will support you in selecting the most suitable option. Go to Services and submit an imaging training request, specifying the requested instrument if known.
- If you already know which instrument to use, browse the instrument in Open IRIS, open the reservation timeline, and submit a training request.
4. Making reservations
In the Scheduler window, you will see the imaging instruments you are authorized to reserve.
Instructions for making reservations.
