Jochen M Schwenk is a Professor of Translational Proteomics at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. With a Ph.D. in biochemistry from the University of Tübingen, Germany, Professor Schwenk conducts research at SciLifeLab in Solna since its inauguration in 2010. His pioneering work focuses on innovating proteomics approaches to investigate circulating blood proteins, aiming to elucidate the dynamic molecular characteristics of human health and disease. Beyond his research, Professor Schwenk holds leadership positions as a scientific director at both the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) and SciLifeLab’s Proteomics platform. He also serves as an elected council member of the Human Proteome Organization (HUPO) and chairs HUPO’s Plasma Proteome Project.
