Oral presentation instructions

• Presenter: a student or a postdoc from the group

• Topic: at least one slide for introducing the group members (preferably with pictures) + one group project in detail (can also be an ongoing project or a plan of an upcoming project)
• Length of the presentation is 10 min + 5 min Q&A
• Name the presentation file with Group Leader’s last name and your name

Poster presentation instructions

• One poster per group
• Poster display walls will be located in the hallway’s on both sides of Sigyn Hall.
• People will be instructed to visit poster walls during the breaks (see the program for the times when you should be present).
• Bring your poster in the morning by 8:45.
• Pick up your posters at the end of the day or at the end of the last break.

Core roll ups will be placed on the stage.

We will organize a car to take the roll ups / materials to Sigyn Hall from Biocity and back. Place & time will be announced later. If you want to bring your roll ups by yourself, please bring them in the morning by 8:45.

People will be instructed to visit cores during the breaks (see the program for the times when you should be present)

• Create Halloween or fall-themed handicraft (askartelutyö), max size A3. It cam be on a paper or cardboard or in a box. Free style but you have to add some research data or something that resembles research data (aka fake data): microscopy images, graphs etc.
• Materials like glue and other useful materials will be delivered to 5th floor coffee shop area by September 18 (on the side). Natural materials (stones, pine cones, leaves etc) are accepted and encouraged. Also the more recycled materials or other safe “waste” (cardboard, paper, checks, packing materials, anything you can think of) from your lab you use the better.
• Bring your handicraft to the Science Day and leave in designated area (most probably the side hallways on both sides of Sigyn Hall).
• Participants will vote for the best handicraft via webropol link during the Science Day. The link will be uploaded here and shared to personnel@utu.fi e-mail list.
