Early-career researchers invited to BioCity Pre-Symposium on 26 August. Registration is now open!

Doctoral researchers at BioCity Turku are organising a pre-symposium on 26 August 2026, offering early-career scientists a platform to connect and exchange ideas ahead of the 35th BioCity Symposium.
In preparation for the 35th BioCity Symposium: VISION, EXPANDED taking place on 27–28 August 2026, a team of doctoral researchers has announced the 2nd BioCity Pre-symposium, scheduled for the afternoon of 26 August 2026 at Mauno Koivisto Centre, BioCity.
The pre-symposium is designed as an informal, PI-free environment where University of Turku and Åbo Akademi University PhD students, postdoctoral researchers and master’s students can network, share ideas and build connections across disciplines before the main event. Organisers aim to foster a relaxed and interactive atmosphere that encourages collaboration within the research community.
The programme is expected to feature two poster sessions, short talks and opportunities for informal discussions over coffee, snacks and drinks. Registration to the event is already open and further details, including more detailed program, will be released soon on the BioCity Turku website.
Organisers Trinh Pham, Shruti Bhardiya and Omkar Joshi encourage broad participation and welcome inquiries from interested attendees as preparations for the event continue.
