Call is now open for BioCity Turku research programs 2027-2031

Life science researchers on the Turku campus are invited to submit proposals for new BioCity Turku research programs for the 2027–2031 funding period. The call is open to both existing and new multidisciplinary research initiatives.
BioCity Turku, a joint initiative of the University of Turku and Åbo Akademi University, has opened a call for proposals for research programs that will strengthen collaboration in life sciences and molecular medicine across the Turku campus. The selected programs will receive support and funding for a five-year period beginning in 2027.
The call is open to research groups working in life sciences or molecular medicine on the Turku campus. Research programs are expected to bring together groups from different faculties, research units, universities and hospital, promoting interdisciplinary cooperation and scientific networking,
Applications will be evaluated by the Scientific Advisory Board of BioCity Turku and funding decisions will emphasize the quality, activity and scientific impact of the programs rather than their size. Applications must include a research program proposal and supplementary information from all participating research groups.
Applications should be submitted by email to biocityturku@bioscience.fi and the application templates are available in https://seafile.utu.fi/d/f4caf7b6cb284e94b50c/
