2. Access

Cytometry Core Facility instruments are reserved via Open IRIS. Group admins and users must have Open IRIS accounts.

How to create an account?

Users must be members of a group in Open IRIS. If the group does not exist, go to Services and click Submit request under Add group request. In group, choose N/A, fill in the required fields, and submit the request.

No individual users are granted access. Access is project-based.

The group admin must go to Services and submit a “CIC project request for group leader” for flow cytometry or mass cytometry services. Invoicing information must be properly completed.

Cytometry Core Facility staff will process the request and grant access to the project.

3. Training

Training is mandatory before accessing the instruments. Protocols and user guides will be provided prior to training.

Once your project request is accepted:

  1. If you are unsure which cytometry instrument to use, the staff will support you in selecting the most suitable option. Go to Services and submit a flow cytometry training request, specifying the requested instrument if known.
  2. If you already know which instrument to use, browse the instrument in Open IRIS, open the reservation timeline, and submit a training request.

4. Making reservations

In the Scheduler window, you will see the cytometry instruments you are authorized to reserve.

Instructions for making reservations.

5. User policy

When making your first reservation, you must read and accept the Cytometry Core Facility user policy. Please read it carefully before accepting.

6. Customer feedback

All feedback is valuable at any time. The Cytometry Core Facility also regularly sends feedback questionnaires.
