Novo Nordisk grant to Pia Rantakari and Klaus Elenius
The Novo Nordisk Foundation awarded 2024 grants to five researchers from the University of Turku, totaling approximately €2,204,294.
Among the grant recipients were:

Docent, InFLAMES and Turku Bioscience group leader Pia Rantakari. Her research titled Unveiling the Role of Pituitary Gland Macrophages in Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome: Towards Novel Therapeutics got DKK 2.997.685 (approx. 401 988 €) funding.

Professor, BioCity Turku Director, Turku Bioscience group leader Klaus Elenius. His research titled Overcoming Cancer drUg Resistance by targeting ERBB3 (CURE) got DKK 5.981.741 (approx. 802 149 €) funding.
