University of Jyväskylä to Award Honorary Doctorate to Johanna Ivaska
The University of Jyväskylä will award 11 new honorary doctorates in May 2026. One of them will be Professor Johanna Ivaska, a group leader at Turku Bioscience.
The faculties of the University award honorary doctorates to persons with meritorious work for the benefit of society or science. A great number of masters and doctors are also expected to participate in the conferment ceremony.
The Act of Conferment and the conferment procession will be held on Saturday, 23 May 2026. The procession proceeds from the Main Building of the University of Jyväskylä to Taulumäki church. Audience may watch the procession along the route.
